Pam Hogg Spring/Summer 2011 Fashion Show!
So here we are, the morning after the night before where we created the styles for Pam Hogg’s mind blowing SS11 show. We can now proudly divulge how we fashioned the styles to fit with Pam’s innovative designs.
We decided on doing angular, ultramodern style using all our Fish products. We wanted the hair to look really clean rather than loaded with products, as if the shape was natural to these futuristic girls.
Here is our John’s advice on how he achieved this look:
PREP. I prepped the hair with Sleek Fish High Gloss Serum before blow-drying it straight. I sprayed Hot Fish Straightening Mist through the lengths and used the straightening irons to really smooth down the hair
SHAPE. I wanted it to be flat through the top, growing at the crown into an angular mound. I backcombed in some volume at the back of the head, before splitting the hair into three sections – a ponytail at the nape of the neck, another midway up and the last section coming from the forehead back across the crown. I kept the sides sleek with Star Fish Shine Spray and coiled the middle ponytail over a doughnut ring to create a spongy bun. Then I smoothed the top section over the bun, forming a wedge. I finished with a mist of Flexy Fish Spray Wax to hold the shape.
SHORT HAIR. With the short crops, I backcombed across the crown into the same smoothed wedge at the back – all the hair is brought back from the forehead into a bouffant.
So really, this look can work for everyone. Keep it sleek, sharp and full of Pam Hogg attitude!
